2024 Dehcho Judo Gathering

The Dehcho Judo Gathering takes place in Fort Simpson and is one of three Territorial events hosted by the NWTJA. This event is not only an amazing opportunity to showcase ones technical ability in a beginner friendly judo tournament, but also to build lifelong friendships.


By bringing together all our athletes from across the territory we provide them with the opportunity to compete against one another and learn from each other over the course of the event. This weekend will consist of tachi waza (standing) and newaza (ground) shiai (fights) on day 1 followed by a dinner open to all athletes, volunteers and staff in the evening. Day 2, a technical training session will be offered by Executive Director of the NWTJA, Jean Pierre Cantin.
